John Horzen

He/Him/His

John Horzen received his M.F.A in projection design from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, and his bachelors degree in Violin Performance from the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University.

He is constantly examining the connective tissue that binds his rhyming loves of producing, designing, and communal music-making in order to find new ways of storytelling. John’s selected projection credits include Cuatro Bailes (The Bushnell, Co-Developer and Set/Projections design), Stille Licht (Kilbourn Hall, NY), MAMA (The Gramercy, NYC), and El Coquí Espectacular (Long Wharf, CT Critics Circle Nomination).

John’s ventures—nTune, a comprehensive practice app for musicians, and Prevision, a VR-enabled previsualization tool for live event production—reflect his commitment to building tools that empower artists and democratize access to high-quality creative workflows.
